CZ Shadow 2 RMR Optic Cut

CZ Shadow 2 RMR Optic Cut

This is for the machining and installation of RMR pattern optics (EXCLUDES NON-Trijicon SRO "style" optics such as the Viridian RFX35 and Vecor Frenzy) on a CZ Shadow 2 slide (excludes the Tactical Sport / TS2 models). This optic cut is also available with a Glock pattern rear dovetail behind the optic allowing for a co-witness through the optic. Please make sure you ship us your slide WITH the extractor in place as we will need to shorten the pin that retains it. 
 
*Note: You will see a small amount of exposed threads below the optic before it fully enters the slide (see pictures above). Glock dovetail configurations will be the most prominent due to the location and depth limitaions of this configuration. This is normal for our optic pocket design (the slide still has .150" of full thread engagement). We utilize 6-32 fasteners which we have found to the strongest most commonly available fastener size that the RMR pattern optics will accommodate. There is a wide availability of good quality American made 6-32 fasteners (we recommend Camcar fasteners) available on the market. We are confident that this is one of the strongest, most secure ways to mount an RMR pattern optic on a Shadow 2 slide. However, if you would prefer a machining option without the screws exposed (we know it's not for everyone) then feel free to take a look at the companies listed HERE for other high quality machining options.

Several options for installation location:
  1. Two mounting options are available: 
    • Elimination of the rear iron sight
    • A new Glock pattern dovetail cut behind the optic (not compatible with the Trijicon RMR HD)
  • Price does not include refinishing. Carbon steel slides will have a cold blue and LPS3 applied to the machined pocket.
  • Cerakote can be added to your order HERE
  • It is REQUIRED that the optic be supplied with the slide for machining and installation. We measure and fit EACH optic to each slide we install them on. We do this to ensure the most secure installation possible.
  • You are responsible for shipping cost. The Shipping added at checkout covers the cost of shipping back to you via USPS. Shipping includes $800 in insurance coverage.
  • Current leadtimes are located at the top of the webpage.
  • THIS IS FOR THE MACHINE WORK FOR THE OPTIC INSTALLATION ONLY!!! The optic is not included!
 
PLEASE NOTE!!! If you are planning on using the Trijicon RCR then you will need longer 6-32 Capstan screws then what is included with the optic. These are available from Trijicon part number: SP-HSC3695-1. You can call thier customer service line at 1-800-338-0563 ext. 1550 to obtain a set to send in with your slide. 

  • Iron Sight Information

    • An Ameriglo Glock .451" (such as the GL-428) or Dawson Glock MOS .375" height rear sight is suggested to reference properly with the factory 7.5mm front sight (measurement is from base of dovetail to top of sight). This works well with large window optics such as the Trijicon SRO and Holosun 507 Comp. This setup is not reccomended for smaller window optics like the Trijicon RMR.
    • If less window obstruction is desired you can use an Ameriglo Glock .394" height or Dawson Glock MOS .325"  rear sight with a Dawson SP-01 .195" H x .125" W front sight (height above slide) for a lower co-witness. This setup is reccomended for smaller window optics such as the Trijicon RMR.
